Welcome to Team Oakden
Welcome to Dunbog Equestrian, home of James Oakden BHSI and Sarah Oakden BHSAI.
James and Sarah moved to Dunbog, Fife in 2003 with James’ family, where they are currently based on a 450 acre farm developing an elite equestrian facility.
Having previously being based in Windermere, Cumbria, James built up a wealth of equine teaching experience and evented up to 4 star level with two different horses.
Sarah herself also has years of experience both in and out of the saddle and together they have helped James’ children qualify for the Pony Club Championships in eventing for six years on the trot first with Oxenholme pony club then once moved up north Fife Hunt Pony Club.
After moving to Fife, Sarah and James became involved with a local Pony Club where they have helped to qualify eventing team teams from Novice up to Open Pony Club levels.
With James’ expert knowledge in eventing and Sarah's meticulous attention to detail (a previous life doing a lot of showing has contributed to this!) they have together produced horses and riders to a high level and to achieve their potential.
It is their honest and open attitude which helps to create the winning formula and their drive and passion drives their 'team' to do the best they can do, and make all the hard work worth while.
Both James and Sarah understand that they are very lucky to have some top class horses to look after and, their determined attitude to work hopefully will bring out the best in all the horses and riders.
